Hello! Welcome to part two of my UK tour diary. Last I left you, me and the rest of Unleash The Archers were absolutely obliterated in Bournemouth...

Friday, November 10th:

It's 10.00am... A scant four hours of sleep. I stumble into the hotel room bathroom and my toothbrush is already on the counter - somehow a drunken me managed to at least take care of my teeth. And remove my make-up. And take out my contact lenses. Way to go Brittney!

I shower and it perks me up. Normally my hangovers are diabolical, as in, I do not move the whole day, let alone drive for hours in a van to play a show in an unknown town. However, I seem to be doing alright, so we all head out to grab a quick breakfast and then hop into the van to head up to Manchester.

A fan had informed us the night before that Stonehenge was on the way so we vowed to check it out. We took our time walking around the circle of stones, oo-ing and aah-ing and taking pictures. We wander through the gift shop and the museum area and then hit the road again. This is when we realized that Stonehenge was not technically on the way to Manchester...

It took us away from the motorway and sent us on a winding, hilly back road that slowed our advance immensely. Construction impedes us more than once and when we finally hit the motorway we are insanely late. As in, it's load-in time and we are still three hours away.

George is ripping as fast as he can but the minutes tick away, doors come and go, and we are still on the road. Finally, one hour before we are supposed to go on, we pull into the alley behind Satan's Hollow.

After the fastest load-in of our lives we pop out of the backstage area to check out the venue and are blasted with the Power Metal perfection of Sellsword. The singer is amazing and the band is super talented - if only we had the time to enjoy them!

Second band of the night, Vice, then follows while we are cramming fruit and veggie platters into our empty gullets and trying to warm up at the same time.

One thing you should know about Satan's Hollow is that the stage is in the centre of the room. It's a big circle. It's huge and has plenty of room to move, but in which direction do you face?! All of them! It was such a cool and unique experience, looking around the circle and seeing fans on all sides singing along as loud as they can. It was a killer show and the meet and greet afterwards was awesome. So many fans that had been waiting for us to come to Manchester for a long time were there and it was a pleasure to finally meet them.

The night comes to a close and we hit the streets in search of food. It is after midnight now so of course, everything is closed. For the fifty-thousandth time we end up at a doner shop, and this time I try the falafel – definitely the right choice.

Being that all of us are still nursing hangovers, we forgo the boozing to drive to the town of Sheffield, where our next show is, which is only an hour away. We arrive at a hotel at 3.00am on the outskirts of town and beg for a late checkout. The kind woman behind the counter complies, and we all pass out HARD.

Of course, not before a nightcap of gin and tonics in George's room. I fall soundly asleep and dream of the amazing shower I am going to have first thing in the morning...

To be continued!!!...
