After family, close friends and Status Quo bandmates past and present turned out on Thursday 19th January at Woking Crematorium for the funeral of legendary guitarist Rick Parfitt, it's business as usual for the band as they continue their 'Last Of The Electrics' and 'Aquostic' tours throughout the UK and Europe.

The band, who have recently thanked their fans for all of your kind messages over the last few weeks and announced that in Rick's memory they, as previously announced, will continue to honour their already scheduled live commitments for 2017, which is set to include a memorial event, full details of which are still to be announced.

Two new dates in the Quo calendar are their inaugural appearances at the Rewind North Festival to be held at Capesthorne Hall, Cheshire from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th August, and Rewind South Festival which is at Temple Island Meadows, Henley-on-Thames from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th August where they will be sharing the bill with high profile 80s acts such as Dr & The Medics, Big Country, T'Pau, Sex Pistol Glen Matlock, Kim Wilde, Peter Hook & The Light and many more, for an unforgettable trip back in time. As Headliners Quo will get to perform an hour long set while the majority of the acts will just be performing for twenty minutes each.

The band are currently playing their final electric tour, which was due to end in Liverpool on 23rd December 2016 but was extended into Europe due to phenomenal demand. Running in tandem with the electric gigs, the band have also scheduled a number of acoustic gigs in the UK and Europe to support the successful 'Aquostic II – That's A Fact' album, including a date at London's Royal Albert Hall, one on the Australian Rock The Boat cruise and culminating in a short tour of Germany in December.

Status Quo are also extremely proud to announce the forthcoming release of 'The Vinyl Singles Collection 1972-1979', on Friday 10th March 2017 via UMC. This carefully curated release is the first in a series of five limited edition Status Quo 7" singles box sets. Each set will cover a decade (in the case of the eighties – two) of the band's UK 7" singles. The music is also available via a digital download code included in the box.

From the sublime first disc offering 'Paper Plane/Softer Ride' right through to perhaps the most loved track penned by the much loved and recently departed Rick Parfitt, 'Living On An Island' - this box set takes us through the output of a truly seminal band in their pomp. These are the records that laid the foundations for the incredible career that would follow.

The singles, mastered from original tapes, will be presented in their original sleeves (picture and house bags) and this Limited Edition release offers thirteen 7" black heavyweight vinyl records housed in a rigid lift-off lid box. The box set will also feature a booklet with quotes and chart history on each single along with a selection of rare foreign covers and memorabilia.
