Snakefarm Records have made Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown their first signing with a worldwide deal that launches the brand new label, a subsidiary of Spinefarm Records.

The Snakefarm brand will provide a supportive home for international artists, both established and new, from the increasingly buoyant roots rock world – music based on authenticity and emotion, under-pinned by a core set of values and beliefs.

Nashville-based Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, main support to AC/DC and Guns N' Roses in recent months, stand as a flagship representation and are the first band on the fresh imprint under the Spinefarm Records banner. Their self-titled album, Snakefarm's first release, is out on November 3rd 2017.

Comprised of Caleb Crosby on drums, Graham Whitford on guitar, Noah Denney on bass and backing vocals and Texas-born Tyler on guitar and vocals, the quartet released six-track EP 'The Wayside' in 2015, produced by Grammy Award-winner Vance Powell and released via Spinefarm in the UK and Europe.

The new self-titled TBSD album, and debut Snakefarm release, was crafted in Nashville by the band and mixed by producer/engineer/multi-instrumentalist John Fields (Soul Asylum, Paul Westerberg), featuring a brand new set of infectious and varied songs, some of which, including epic rocker 'Aftershock', have become staples of their live set.

Tyler Bryant told us:

"We're beyond excited to be teaming up with Snakefarm to release our new self-titled album. We've become close with their team, and have learned that their passion for real music is not rivalled by many. That's something we both share. Together, we're gonna take our brand of rock'n'roll to as many people as we possibly can."

Snakefarm/Spinefarm UK Head of A&R/King Cobra Dante Bonutto told us:

"There's so much great activity in rootsy guitar music right now, and Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown are the perfect group to both showcase and celebrate everything that's going on. They're young, they're dedicated to their craft, they've got barrel-loads of attitude, and they rock hard... and when they get onto a stage, and they've already occupied some of the biggest stages there is, they know how to entertain.

"Snakefarm and The Shakedown, The Snake and The Shake, it feels completely right..."

monsters of rock

Monsters Of Rock In Full Flight is strictly limited to 300 worldwide and is available from 30th November but those ordering before 31st October will have their name published within a dedicated page in the book.

It's a deluxe 128 page hardback book in a metal flight case with a narrative by Jerry Bloom.

When promoter Paul Loasby put on the first Monsters Of Rock Festival in 1980 he could probably never have imagined it would become an annual event that would endure for so many years.

Featuring bands from the UK, Germany, Canada and USA, Loasby chose to stage the event at the Donington race circuit in the middle of England and it would prove to be a defining moment for many of the bands on the bill.

Not least for headliners Rainbow as it was the their last ever show to feature drum legend Cozy Powell. As it would happen it turned out to be the last for vocalist Graham Bonnet as well. For many of the other bands on the bill such as Scorpions, Judas Priest and Saxon, they were all on the ascendancy and would soon go on to even greater success.

Now in celebration of this first ever Monsters Of Rock Festival comes this hardback book full of glorious photos of the bands that took to the stage for that inaugural event including back stage shots. Most of these shots have not been published before which add to the uniqueness of this deluxe 128-page book which is packaged in its own flight case.

Also included are stories surrounding the event with tales and recollections from those who were there, including artists and fans alike. Each book will be signed by the author. The 300 will sell fast and definitely go on to become collector's items so order yours now right here to avoid disappointment.
