The Raven Age are all set to kick off their first ever headlining UK tour later this month and in anticipation of the seven dates, the homegrown headbangers have shared a brand new lyric video for 'My Revenge'.

The track is taken from the band's latest album, 'Darkness Will Rise', which was released in March by BMG and here it is.

Giutarist and founder member George Harris tells us:

"'My Revenge' is probably the heaviest and darkest track on the album. When we were recording it we wanted to try out a scream vocal effect to make the intro as dark as possible and to get the aggression across for those particular lyrics.

"As none of us were able to do it, we got Tony Maue in for the screams. He did a great job and we kept in touch... it was only a few months later that he ended up being our new guitarist!"

It is now confirmed that support on all English dates will come from hotly tipped London group In Search Of Sun who are signed to Spinefarm Records. Their new album, 'Virgin Funk Mother' is released on October 20th, just in time for the tour.

Monday 23rd October: Glasgow, The Garage Attic
Tuesday 24th October: Manchester, Star & Garter
Wednesday 25th October: Birmingham, O2 Institute 3
Thursday 26th October: London, Boston Music Rooms
Saturady 28th October: Bristol, Louisiana
Monday 30th October: Dublin, Academy 2
Tuesday 31st October: Belfast, Limelight 2

Tony Maue took over as new guitarist from Dan Wright who, in true Angela Gossow style, took over as full time manager of The Raven Age.

Dan told us:

"I am happy to confirm that Tony Maue is officially taking over my performing role as guitarist in The Raven Age. With the band doing so well and moving from strength to strength, I have decided to make managing The Raven Age my full-time role. This will allow me to focus on delivering the most exciting experiences for our fans and help the band to explore new opportunities.

"When we created The Raven Age, we never imagined that we'd achieve half of what we have so far. Tony's addition to the line-up is now allowing me to focus my time on growing the band that I love. The band is in the best possible position and we are all excited for what the future holds."

Earlier this Summer George Harris and Dan Wright joined the Heavy Metal Truants, the intrepid team of cyclists raising money for charities Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust and Childline.

The Truants cycle from London to Derbyshire's Download Festival, covering 164 miles in three days, as well as hosting an auction for rock memorabilia. We're pleased to say that the team raised £131,500 this year, which brought the Truants five-year total to £469,000. You can learn more about the Truants at heavymetaltruants.com.
