OZZY OSBOURNE IS FIRST DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL 2018 HEADLINER
6th November 2017
Ozzy Osbourne, recently reunited with Zakk Wylde to continue his solo career after Black Sabbath reached The End, is the first of the three acts who will headline Download Festival 2018.
The three-day Download Festival 2018 takes place between 8th and 10th June 2018 at the spiritual home of Metal in Donington Park, Leicestershire. Tickets are available now right here.
No stranger to the hallowed grounds of Donington, The Prince Of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne will headline the Sunday night. Having previously graced the main stage in previous years fronting Black Sabbath, this will be his first ever Download headline solo appearance.
The Download Festival set comes as part of Ozzy Osbourne's final world tour announcement this morning, a trek that will take him around the world from now through to 2020.
Even though the farewell tour will mark Ozzy's retirement as a touring artist, he plans to continue performing live at select shows following the global jaunt.
"People keep asking me when I'm retiring," said Ozzy in a statement. "This will be my final world tour, but I can't say I won't do some shows here and there."
Download Festival promoter, Andy Copping, says:
"We're unbelievably excited to have Ozzy as one of the headliners next year. Already hailing from the midlands, Ozzy Osbourne is no stranger to Download, and after Black Sabbath closed the festival in 2016, how could I not ask The Prince of Darkness to come back all on his own? The Download family are, without a shadow of a doubt, in for a treat."
