Ace Frehley, Diamond Head, Gojira, Corrosion Of Conformity and many more are to play this year's Psycho Las Vegas.

This impressive roster also includes headliner King Diamond, the Melvins, Carcass, Code Orange, The Skull and takes place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on August 18th to 20th with all the shows set to take place in air-conditioned indoor comfort or at night by an open pool.

Festival organisers say Psycho remains "as dedicated as ever to presenting a wide, diverse and unique selection of underground, psychedelic and classic hard-rock and Metal acts".

This is King Diamond's only gig in the US in 2017.

Corrosion of Conformity, who reunited with frontman Pepper Keenan back in 2014, are currently in the studio working on the long-awaited follow-up to 2005s excellent 'In The Arms Of God' album.

Diamond Head were one of the pioneers of the early 80s New Wave Of British Heavy Metal movement and have had three of their songs famously covered by Metallica over the years. The Midlands based quintet undertook their biggest ever US tour last year which was a resounding success.

Ace Frehley has been the subject of many rumours this past few months on a possible reunion with Kiss but Paul Stanley scotched this talk last month.

In an interview with Billboard, Stanley was once again asked about the possibility of the reunion and responded:

"No. And that's not coming from any place of animosity. I sang on Ace's most recent album and did a video with him. I have the connection and the reconnection and to celebrate the good things we've done together is terrific.

"The band as it is — I've played with Eric Singer for, I think, twenty-five years and Tommy's been in the band probably fifteen years at this point. I have no thoughts of revisiting the past.

"With that said, I am happy to enhance or do whatever I can for anyone who has helped put me where I am, but that doesn't include getting hitched again to somebody I unhitched from."

In addition to the dozens of acts slated for the three-day event, Pentagram — whose celebratory set was one of the highlights of last year's festival — will headline a special Psycho pool pre-party on August 17th.

It seems like Las Vegas is one of the places to be for our music as Journey are booked in for five nights in May, as well as 'Raiding The Rock Vault', which shares some of the Journey dates as an ongoing show in the Hard Rock's smaller Vinyl club.

Where else in the world can you get two Journey shows in one night?

Along with everyone from Rod Stewart to Eddie Money dropping in for concerts (and that's just this weekend), the Strip will soon have three ongoing classic-rock tributes. 'World's Greatest Rock Show' opens at the Stratosphere on April 4th, joining 'Rock Vault' and 'Tenors Of Rock', which debuted at Harrah's Las Vegas in January.

"It's hard out there at the moment, it really is hard. But we found a little niche," says 'Rock Vault' producer Harry Cowell about reopening at Vinyl this month after closing at the Tropicana last summer.

"The room is small and it's cool. We've got a good production in there and it's working. Given the size of the stage, I wasn't sure whether we could put a decent production in there, but people love being close to the band, and I've cut my costs right down. It's a big savings [from the Tropicana]."
