'Dio Returns: The Tour', featuring a hologram of Ronnie James Dio reunited with former bandmates from the Dio Band, will be appearing throughout Europe and the UK in December with a revised list of tour dates available below.

The tour will kick off in Bochum, Germany on December 6th and hits London's O2 Islington Academy on Tuesday 19th December.

It marks the first tour of its kind, breaking new ground just as Dio did throughout an accomplished career as a lead singer and songwriter in defining bands such as Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell and Dio.

The 'Dio Returns' tour will feature Dio's actual live vocals, with the Dio Band playing live, featuring Craig Goldy on guitar, Simon Wright on drums, Scott Warren on keyboards and Bjorn Englen on bass. Tim 'Ripper' Owens will also perform, with singer Oni Logan also joining on select dates.

The Ronnie James Dio Hologram will perform for the majority of the show, treating fans to an alternating setlist that will feature songs such as 'Rainbow In The Dark', 'We Rock', 'Neon Nights', 'King Of Rock & Roll', 'Man On The Silver Mountain', 'Heaven & Hell', 'Holy Diver' and many more.

Ronnie's wife and manager, Wendy, who is is overseeing every aspect of the tour, tells us:

"Working with Eyellusion over the past year and a half to turn our dream of this tour into a reality has been absolutely incredible.

"No one has ever been able to put together a show and tour like this and we like to think of Ronnie smiling down as we continue to find new ways to share his music with all generations of fans.

"We cannot wait to be able to finally bring this incredible experience to Ronnie's fans around the world."

Guitarist Craig Goldy adds:

"We are doing this because we were all one family and when a family has lost their beloved member, they try to keep the memory alive. That is the spirit behind all that we do.

"When we perform, for me it is like a memorial service in the form of a rock concert. That gives the fans a chance to experience Dio 'live' in this exceptional state of the art way."

Monsters Of Rock In Full Flight is strictly limited to 300 worldwide and is available from 30th November but those ordering before 31st October will have their name published within a dedicated page in the book.

It's a deluxe 128 page hardback book in a metal flight case with a narrative by Jerry Bloom.

When promoter Paul Loasby put on the first Monsters Of Rock Festival in 1980 he could probably never have imagined it would become an annual event that would endure for so many years.

Featuring bands from the UK, Germany, Canada and USA, Loasby chose to stage the event at the Donington race circuit in the middle of England and it would prove to be a defining moment for many of the bands on the bill.

Not least for headliners Rainbow as it was the their last ever show to feature drum legend Cozy Powell. As it would happen it turned out to be the last for vocalist Graham Bonnet as well. For many of the other bands on the bill such as Scorpions, Judas Priest and Saxon, they were all on the ascendancy and would soon go on to even greater success.

Now in celebration of this first ever Monsters Of Rock Festival comes this hardback book full of glorious photos of the bands that took to the stage for that inaugural event including back stage shots. Most of these shots have not been published before which add to the uniqueness of this deluxe 128-page book which is packaged in its own flight case.

Also included are stories surrounding the event with tales and recollections from those who were there, including artists and fans alike. Each book will be signed by the author. The 300 will sell fast and definitely go on to become collector's items so order yours now right here to avoid disappointment.
