MOTÖRHEAD ROAD CREW BACK IN ACTION FOR ACE OF SPADES BULLDOG BASH HEADLINE SHOW
19th July 2017
Ace Of Spades, the Motörhead celebration act led by Bass Assassin #2, Alan Davey, will headline this year's Bulldog Bash on Saturday August 12th.
This performance takes on extra special significance because Motörhead's road crew will reunite another time, another place once again as when they were told about this date, they immediately stepped forward and offered their services to Ace Of Spades.
So still loving the life they lead on 12th August will be Lemmy's long-time roadie Tim Butcher, Phil Taylor and Pete Gill's drum roadie for twelve years Goom, and Eagle, Motörhead's sound man.
Bulldog Bash takes place at Shakespeare County Raceway, which is situated just outside Stratford-upon-Avon.
Alan commented on social media:
"'Iron Horse/Born To Lose' will have to be in the set for this one...!
"Ace Of Spades had our first rehearsal today. I gotta say that Garry Bowler and Neil Archer were exceptional. You guys were great to play with and we nailed all eighteen songs. We did Lemmy RIP and Animal Taylor RIP proud!"
Drummer Garry Bowler has played with Wurzel, ex-Iron Maiden and Lionheart guitarist Dennis Stratton and ex-Gillan/Ozzy guitarist Bernie Torme. He was also asked to replace Philthy Animal Taylor after he left Motörhead for the second time and recorded four demo tracks for the 'March Or Die' album.
Guitarist Neil Archer is formerly of Motörheadache and has toured with Chicken Shack and formed a band with Robert Plant for a charity event.

Ace Of Spades are already announced for the Sunday night of this year's Beermageddon and will also play a full-on dedicated Motörhead set.
Beermageddon organisers told us when Ace Of Spades were announced:
"Like any lover of heavy music, a huge hole was left in our hearts when Lemmy passed in 2015 and here at Beermageddon we have always wanted to pay tribute to the legend, but it had to be done right, and at the right time.
"This is where Alan 'Boomer' Davey steps in. He is the only bassist Lemmy ever credited as a fellow 'Bass Assassin', on Motorhead's 'Orgasmatron' album, and he is bringing a very special show to Beermageddon..."
Ace Of Spades is an act that Alan began back in 1999, and at the Brixton Academy Hawkestra gig in 2000 he was endorsed by Lemmy himself. The Beermageddon organisers added:
"If Ace of Spades is good enough for Lemmy, it's damn well what we want at Beermageddon!"
Beermageddon takes place on 25th, 26th, 27th August 2017 at Stoke Prior Sports & Country Club. Tickets are available at a superb price of £40 and that includes free parking and camping.
