Mighty Metallic Teutonic beasts Accept have a monumental week coming up as not only is their brand new studio album, the carefully crafted 'The Rise Of Chaos' due out a week on Friday, Wolf Hoffmann and his magnificent comrades play the biggest gig of their career the night before.

'The Rise Of Chaos' was delivered to the MetalTalk offices last week and we're hugely impressed with everything about Accept's fifteenth studio album. More to come on that next week.

In the meantime, Wolf spoke recently about 'The Rise Of Chaos' and about playing the new songs live. See what Wolf has to say in this exclusive video, premiering here today on MetalTalk.

Accept released the first single from 'The Rise Of Chaos' late last week and it's 'Koolaid', a real standout track from the album. Check it out here and see if you can work out what it was all about. It took us several days of heated arguments before someone finally worked it out...

'The Rise Of Chaos' is Accept's fourth album with frontman Mark Tornillo and it's also the German pioneers' fourth studio release through Nuclear Blast Records.

The night before the release, Thursday August 3rd, Accept will celebrate the album's live premiere exclusively as a part of a special show at Wacken Open Air, Germany. The set will consist of three parts:

Part One will bring fans a classic Accept set, packed with new and old hits.

Part Two will present another premiere: Wolf Hoffmann will be playing tracks from his solo album, 'Headbangers Symphony', released in 2016, with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra for the very first time. On this record, Wolf has covered famous opuses by composers such as Beethoven, Vivaldi and Mozart, in a Metal guise.

And in Part Three, all elements can be seen and heard together: Accept will make the holy Wacken ground shake by sharing the stage with the orchestra, supported by a complex multimedia show.

This unique concert experience will take place on this year's 'Night To Remember' which makes it even more special. The 'Night To Remember' is a celebrated, long-lasting Wacken tradition; for one night of the festival a selection of established bands will do something unique and special with their performance.

Wolf Hoffmann told us when the Wacken performance was first announced:

"It's always impressive to see how bands take this evening seriously and how much love the artists and the organising team put into their work to get a varied result. It's a great tradition which underlines and documents the top-notch level of the international rock community like nothing else. We also want to present something that Accept has never done before and we hope we can give something really special to the fans."

Thomas Jensen, organiser of Wacken Open Air, told us:

"Accept have been and are still a very important part of Germany's Heavy Metal scene. We're really looking forward to having them with us once more. With this epic concept, the Thursday evening will be one to remember for sure."

MetalTalk will have a big presence at Wacken this year so stay tuned for the full lowdown on what will be a glorious night. 'The Rise Of Chaos' will be in stores the following morning, August 4th, but you can pre-order yours right here.

MONSTERS OF ROCK IN FULL FLIGHT SURE TO BECOME FUTURE COLLECTOR'S ITEM

monsters of rock

Monsters Of Rock In Full Flight is strictly limited to 300 worldwide and is available from 30th November but those ordering before 31st October will have their name published within a dedicated page in the book.

It's a deluxe 128 page hardback book in a metal flight case with a narrative by Jerry Bloom.

When promoter Paul Loasby put on the first Monsters Of Rock Festival in 1980 he could probably never have imagined it would become an annual event that would endure for so many years.

Featuring bands from the UK, Germany, Canada and USA, Loasby chose to stage the event at the Donington race circuit in the middle of England and it would prove to be a defining moment for many of the bands on the bill.

Not least for headliners Rainbow as it was the their last ever show to feature drum legend Cozy Powell. As it would happen it turned out to be the last for vocalist Graham Bonnet as well. For many of the other bands on the bill such as Scorpions, Judas Priest and Saxon, they were all on the ascendancy and would soon go on to even greater success.

Now in celebration of this first ever Monsters Of Rock Festival comes this hardback book full of glorious photos of the bands that took to the stage for that inaugural event including back stage shots. Most of these shots have not been published before which add to the uniqueness of this deluxe 128-page book which is packaged in its own flight case.

Also included are stories surrounding the event with tales and recollections from those who were there, including artists and fans alike. Each book will be signed by the author. The 300 will sell fast and definitely go on to become collector's items so order yours now right here to avoid disappointment.
