The Cult will be one of the two Ramblin' Man Fair headliners for the fourth edition of the Maidstone festival which takes place on June 30th and July 1st at Mote Park.

The festival organisers made this announcement today:

"For all you rockers, ravers, lovers and ramblers the first headliner for Ramblin' Man 2018 and it's their only UK performance this year! We are are very, very excited they have agreed to play the Fair!

"They are one of the UK's finest and diverse rock acts, they have sold platinum albums on both sides of the atlantic, and have played with the likes of Guns N' Roses, Metallica and Aerosmith. The lead singer even took time out to front the reformed Doors!

"Some say they were born into this but they need no ceremony, they'll be bringing all the swagger and rock n' roll to the Fair! They are Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy and they are The Cult!!!"

Chas And Dave have also been announced for the Fair, along with Me And That Man, Nergal of Behemoth's side project with John Porter.

Also appearing on the Ramblin' Man bill this year are Steve Earle & The Dukes, Blackberry Smoke and Sons Of Apollo who all play UK exclusive sets, as do Halestorm, who will make their first UK appearance since Lzzy Hale's induction into the Hall Of Heavy Metal History last night.

Following on from the critically acclaimed and commercially successful third year in 2017, which you can find out about right here, Ramblin' Man Fair has moved from it's traditional end of July slot to the 30th June and 1st July 2018 instead.

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster right here.

More acts will be announced soon, including the second headliner.
