Legendary Motörhead and Fastway guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke very sadly passed away on 10th January 2018, the second anniversary of Lemmy's memorial service, and he left behind a legacy of magnificent music and a legion of grieving supporters.

Eddie was a major inspiration to thousands of Motörhead fans and there have been many moving acknowledgements and tributes paid since his passing.

In October and November 2016, Eddie played what were to be his final ever gigs as Fastway and Girlschool joined Saxon's 'Battering Ram' UK tour. The tour was a triumph and reignited Eddie's appetite for live performance.

This was plainly evident one year ago this week when Eddie was special guest on Steve Göldby Talks Metal and we thought it fitting to repeat the interview as a tribute to the great man.

It was the very first time that the show had been broadcast from outside of the UK and when the crew left the studio in Los Angeles midway through the broadcast to seek refreshments in the Rainbow Bar And Grill, they found themselves transmitting from underneath a large poster of the 'classic' Motörhead line-up so the obvious thing to do was make a phone call to London so Eddie could guest on the show.

You can hear the full conversation with Eddie on The Bastards Edition of Steve Göldby Talks Metal right here.

There's plenty of Motörhead right through the show, as well as some of the best Metal around. News of Lemmy's forthcoming solo album was broken on the show last March and you can check out what that is all about right here.

Expect an update on that in the not-too-distant.
