NWOBHM legends Demon will undertake 'The Unexpected Guest UK Tour' during which they will perform the classic album in its entirety, plus more. Support on all dates, which can be seen below, comes from up and coming UK classic Metal band Dendera and the tour is organised by Glasgow based Shock City Productions.

Originally formed in 1979 by vocalist Dave Hill who comes from Leek, Staffordshire, Demon are considered an important band of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement.

TheY were originally signed by Mike Stone's Clay Records in 1980 and licensed to Carrere Records to join their stable of metal bands, which included Saxon, Rose Tattoo and Don Dokken. Their debut album, 'Night Of The Demon', was released in 1981 with their follow-up album, 'The Unexpected Guest', being released in 1982.

With 'The Unexpected Guest', Demon experimented beyond the NWOBHM sound and moved in a more melodic direction whilst still retaining the more traditional Heavy Metal black magic lyrical style.

1983 marked a swing towards a more progressive sound with 'The Plague' album and the addition of keyboards to their sound. There was also a change in lyrical content with a more overtly political style that was to characterise their albums for the rest of their career.

'British Standard Approved' was released in 1984 but couldn't match the success of their previous efforts.

'Heart Of Our Time' was released in 1985 and was followed up by 'Breakout' in 1987 and 'Taking The World By Storm' in 1988. In the nineties, they continued to release new material with 1991s 'Hold Onto The Dream’ and the 1992 follow-up, 'Blow Out', before the band split up.

Hill reunited Demon with new members in 2001, and released an album called 'Spaced Out Monkey' which was followed up by 'Better The Devil You Know' in 2005, 'Unbroken' in 2012 and their most recent release, 2016s 'Cemetery Junction'.
