15th July 2016

German female fronted metallers Beyond The Black have parted company with all five musicians leaving only singer Jennifer Haben in place.

The band, thought by many to be the next big German Metal band were championed by Wacken's creators and appeared at the festival in 2015 as part of a successful tour in support of their 2014 debut 'Songs Of Love And Death'.

The follow up 'Lost In Forever' peaked at number four in the German album charts earlier this year, one place above Adele, and the band undertook an arena tour in their native country as support to the Scorpions.

All the publicity for the band previously referred to it as a unit but Jennifer Haben said to Bild: "I have enjoyed the time together with the guys very much and am grateful for everything we have achieved together in Germany. I am currently looking for new colleagues for my band Beyond The Black."

No comment has been forthcoming as yet from the now apparently ex-band members, Christopher Hummels (guitar & backing vocals), Nils Lesser (lead guitar), Erwin Schmidt (bass), Michael Hauser (keyboards), Tobias Derer (drums).

Bild also reported that auditions for new members were due to take place in mid-August but it is unclear how this situation affects Beyond The Black's scheduled appearance at the UK's Bloodstock Festival on 12th August.
