Back in February, Les-Fest organiser and Achren manager Fede Valls launched the 'Hairy Balls Challenge' to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and at Les-Fest 3 last week, he presented a cheque for £5,593 to Reign of Fury vocalist Matt Steed who has been instrumental in raising funds via the Headbangers Balls concerts all over the UK after he was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2008.
The Hairy Balls Challenge was announced in February 2014 when Fede challenged his 1000+ Facebook friends to help him to raise money for Headbangers Balls.
The rules were simple - just raise money however you like over a period of three months, but there was always the possibility of a forfeit as whoever raised the least amount of money by the end of the task has to remove ALL their body hair.

Founder of Headbangers Balls Andy Pilkington said at the time "Not only is this an exceptionally entertaining challenge which has the potential to raise a ton of money for Teenage Cancer Trust, but the forfeit and the fear surrounding it has real significance as a symbol of cancer sufferers as just one part of what they face when going through treatment".
Everyone at MetalTalk would like to congratulate Fede and all those who raised money for a very worthwhile cause, but don't forget that you can still donate the Teenage Cancer Trust and support any future Headbangers Ball events from the links below.
