Duffy replaces previous guitarist Marc Coyle who parted amicably with the band earlier this year.

"We're still good friends with him (Coyle)" commented a spokesman for the band, "and we stated it on our Facebook page (at the time of the split) that he is still like a brother to all of us, but the situation in the band just didn't work out and Rab seems to be the perfect fit for the band going forwards".

Beckon are currently rehearsing material with Duffy up get him up to speed on the bands back catalogue, and are looking to book their first gig with him in early 2014, although no details have been confirmed yet.

The band did confirm that they will be incorporating some new material to their set list once the gigs have been announced.

Prior to Duffys recruitment, the band released a demo on Soundcloud and are slowly but surely building their fan base all over the UK, after appearances at the inaugural Les-Fest (Scotlands only Rock and Metal Festival) in 2012, a number of successful gigs in England as well as being selected as one of the best new bands of 2012 by

Rab Duffy - Lead Guitar
Mark Chorley - Rhythm Guitar
Lee Hutchinson - Bass Guitar
Michael Brogan - Drums

Here's a fabulous Aerosmith pictorial document as seen through the lens of famed British photographer Tony Mottram. Tony photographed the band over many years for various magazines and now has a monthly column here on MetalTalk.

As was often the case, only one photo ever got published and in the fast moving world of weekly magazines sometimes entire sessions would be done and left undeveloped.

Tony started shooting Aerosmith from towards the end of the period with Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay and onwards through the return of original members Joe Perry and Brad Whitford that resulted in the albums 'Done With Mirrors', 'Permanent Vacation' and 'Pump'.

As well as shooting the band several times in England, this collection includes images from a session at the band's rehearsal room in Boston. Littered throughout is a mixture of live and off stage photos including a selection of photos taken at London's famous Marquee club when they were joined on stage by Jimmy Page.
