British Grammy-nominated record producer, sound engineer, and mixer Chris Tsangarides is critically ill in hospital with Legionnaire's Disease.
Chris is best known for his work with many Heavy Metal bands, including Judas Priest, Anvil, Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy, Helloween, Marillion, Angra and Yngwie Malmsteen. He has worked with many pop and alternative artists as well, including Depeche Mode, Tom Jones, and Concrete Blonde.
Legionnaires disease is a serious lung infection caused by legionella bacteria. Initial symptoms include a high fever, muscle pain and chills.

Chris' son Theo made the following statement on Chris' Facebook page:
"For those of you that don't know, My dad Chris Tsangarides remains critically ill in hospital with Legionnaire's Disease. Thanks for all the support he's had so far, it's been really comforting to know so many people are behind him. Go on Dad, keep fighting.
Chris' wife Jane followed up Theo's post with the following:
"Hello everyone this is Jane Tsangarides. I wanted to let you know that Chris is still with us. He is still desperately ill and he may well be so for a very long time but we do have a glimmer of hope.
"We have been overwhelmed by the amount of support and love coming our way. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart."
