Based in Exeter, Cambion have been making a name for themselves in the Metal world since forming back in 2009 and the four piece are a welcome addition to the Les-Fest 2014 bill. Taking their influences from bands like Tesseract, Meshuggah and Gojira, they have shared the stages with major acts like Scar Symmetry, Sacred Mother tongue, Breed 77 and Les-Fest 2013 headline acts Evile, this band know how to deliver a killer performance and they look like a band not to be missed.
The band Spirytus may be unfamiliar at the moment, but this aggressive funk/groove Metal five piece from Nottingham know how to put on a show. They have been described in the past as a "full speed car crash between Faith No More and Korn, sprinkled with Rage Against the Machine and a few surprises in there for good measure" and their stage show promises to be as entertaining, aggressive, energetic and funky as their music.
If you take elements from Strapping Young Lad, Gojira, Alice in Chains and The Devin Townsend Project, what do you end up with Liverpudlian band, Sa-da-kO. Veterans of the Bloodstock stage, this band may mean something different to everyone but one thing everybody does agree with is that this unique band are sure to draw a crowd wherever they play, and after they performed well enough at Les-Fes North West earlier in the year, they have certainly earned their place on the Les-Fest 2014 bill.
Hailing from Nottingham hails are champions of Thrash metal, Incinery who were formed in 2009. Their first EP, 'Dawn Of War' followed by a second EP in March 2013, 'Nothing Left', demonstrates perfectly their fusion of 80s Thrash with brutality from modern metal styles to create a truly blistering and intense live show. Their Les-Fest set is not for the faint hearted, but if you but if you like your Metal hard and fast – this is a band you have to check out!
Heavy Metal comes from the Black Country, of course, and who better to represent the area at Les-Fest 2014 than West Midlands five piece band Hostile. Regulars on the UK live circuit, the band have toured with Lordi, Cavalera Conspiracy, Soulfly and Morbid Angel amongst others and still found time to record their debut album, 'Eve Of Destruction', which was produced by Judas Priest legend K.K. Downing. This is a classic Heavy Metal band in the making and Les-Fest will be only their third performance North of the border – so far!
The final band in this announcement is Manchester based Incassum who are as brutal as they are sublime. Transcending the pigeon holes and sub-genres of Heavy Metal, Incassum have taken their unique brand of extreme music all over the UK gig circuit, sharing bills with acts such as Blaze Bayley, Forever Never and Breed 77. After a number of lineup changes, Icassum continue to hone their craft and with an active gigging schedule, the Les-Fest organisers are delighted to have the band on the bill for Les-Fest 2013.
So there you have it – another six bands added to the twenty previously announced ones, all of whom are ready to rock the Clyde Valley from 27th – 29th June 2014. For those of you who still haven't decided if you're going, you'd better make that decision soon because tickets are selling very fast and with more bands still to be announced, it looks like Les-fest 2014 will sell out!
Don't forget that Les-Festive is being held at Ivory Blacks in Glasgow on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th December featuring Estrella, Massive Wagons, Seed Of Sorrow, Disposable, Spill Sixteen and Vantage Point and where the headliners for Les-Fest 2014 will be revealed live and exclusive to all those present on the Saturday night!
