Sebastian Bach has confirmed that Motley Crue invited him to join them in 1992 after they sacked long time singer Vince Neil.

Seb stated this as a matter of fact on his Twitter account recently in reply to a fan's query as to whether he was considered to take Vince Neil's place. Bach replied, "Not considered. Asked."

As Seb continued to answer questions on the public networking site he revealed other opinions, specifically why he didn't take up such a fantastic offer: "The short answer is that I actually thought at the time this band Skid Row was better. Gee I sure know how to pick 'em."

Motley Crue went on to replace Neil with John Corabi and worked on albums and tours with Corabi until Neil's return in 1997.

Sadly, as all Crue fans know, there is a publicly acknowledged plan for Motley Crue to retire and disband next year. In the meantime you can catch them in their Las Vegas residency titled 'Evening In Hell', at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for an exclusive 12-show run from September 18th through October 6th 2013.

As for the exuberant cyclone that is Seb Bach, he is still in the musical spotlight of his own making...
