Exclusive: Bruce Dickinson/Tank Bassist Chris Dale Joins Monument For Upcoming Live Shows

London traditional Metal rising stars Monument have announced that Bruce Dickinson/Tank bassist Chris Dale will be joining their ranks for their upcoming live shows to promote the band’s debut album, ‘Renegades’, in 2014.

He replaces Matt Scott who due to personal issues was not able to continue being a member of the band.

Monument mainman Peter Ellis comments: “Firstly, I would like to thank Matt for everything he has contributed to the band and wish him all the best in his future endeavours. He will always be a part of the Monument family.

“I am very excited to have Chris Dale joining us for the band’s upcoming shows to promote the album in 2014. His work with Bruce Dickinson and Tank speaks for itself and his addition takes the band’s sound to a whole different level.

“Apart from being a world class musician, Chris is also one of the nicest people I know in the music business and I am genuinely excited about the first round of shows with him on bass and to see what our collaboration can lead to.”

Matt Scott said in a statement: “I am very proud of my time in Monument, I have had the chance to play the biggest shows of my life so far, went on my first tour and recorded my first album, all in a very professional way thanks to Peter Ellis, who took me under his wings and gave me this great opportunity.

“Unfortunately due to personal reasons I have to give up being in a band for the foreseeable future, which means I have to step down from the bassist position in Monument. I wish Peter an the rest of the guys the success they deserve and I will keep supporting them anyway I can.”

Chris Dale commented: “I’m really looking forward to playing live shows with Monument in 2014. They’re the only new British band that I’ve heard in recent years staying so true to the classic sound of British Heavy Metal. Having played bass for some of the originators of the British Heavy Metal sound, it’s an honour for me to be asked to play for the next generation.

Monument’s first major appearance with Chris Dale on bass will be at PPM festival in Belgium on Friday April 18th, followed by a UK and European tour. ‘Renegades’ is out worldwide in May on MGR Music.
