| ANDRE 3000 TO PLAY JIMI HENDRIX IN NEW BIOPIC 8th May 2012 
Outkast's Andre 3000 has been confirmed to play Jimi Hendrix in a new Hollywood biopic to be titled 'All Is By My Side'. The IFTN report says that the film will concentrate on Hendrix's life in London during 1966 and 1967 and is scheduled to begin filming next month in Ireland. Article continues below...
John Ridley, whose credits include U-Turn, Undercover Brother and Three Kings, is writing the script. Production is being shared by Subotica Entertainment, Darko Entertainment and Matador Pictures. Andre 3000, born Andre Benjamin, was in the group OutKast with Antwan 'Big Boi' Patton. They hit number 1 in the U.S. with 'Ms Jackson' (2000), 'Hey Ya!' (2003) and 'The Way You Move' (2003) as did their album 'Speakerboxxx/The Love Below'. Benjamin has previously acted in the movies Hollywood Homicide, Be Cool, Four Brothers and Idlewild along with TV series Class of 3000 and The Shield.
