There are not many Metal bands with such a long and successful career as Judas Priest. With classic albums 'British Steel', 'Screaming For Vegeance' and 'Painkiller' and stadium giants to hit songs such as 'Breaking The Law', 'Living After Midnight' and 'You've Got Another Thing Comin'' there is no doubt: Judas Priest deserves its title as the Metal gods.
Despite their enormous popularity, and a new album ready for release next year, so the band decided that The Epitah Tour will be their last world tour. The massive tour kicked off this summer and reaches Sweden at the end of April 2012. Judas Priest promises to play all the favorites from their 40-year career and they will also bid on several songs that have never before been played live.
Judas Priest was formed in the early 70s in Birmingham, England, the place where Heavy Metal was born, according to many. The band was one of the first who wore studs and leather, a look that quickly picked up by fans and is now an obvious choice for Metal lovers.
In 2010 the band announced that they would stop touring and that 'Epitaph' would be the band's last world tour. Until now it was thought that the gig at Sweden Rock this summer was the very last on Swedish soil but Swedish fans now have the two gigs at Cloetta Center in Linköping and at the Royal Court in Stockholm.
The court in Stockholm is historic ground for Judas Priest as they did two classical concerts there in 1984 and 1988. Do not miss it when the band play their final Sweden shows ever. It will be epic.
04/24 - Linkoping, Cloetta Center
04/25 - Stockholm, the Royal Court
