Chris, Eddie, Benj and Paddy of Betraeus on the tour: "We'd like to say it's great to have an awesome webzine like SS behind us for this tour. They've been really supportive right from the start of our career. For them to pick us out on The New Blood stage at Bloodstock back in 2010 was a massive thing for us and we hope we can return the favour by continuing to impress! Live and die Metal!"
Lee MacBride, Editor of Soundshock: "I can't think of a band more perfect for Soundshock to sponsor. Betraeus have definitely developed their own sound and I'm sure they're going to be a formidable force in the British metal scene! Check this tour out!"
Catch them at one of the following December dates:
Since their inception in 2009, Betreaus have gone from strength to strength developing their unique brand of melodic death Metal and released their debut EP 'Towards The Sun' on the Siege of Amida label this November.
With the average age of 20, their fusion of chopping riffs and blasting rhythms with intense atmosphere creates an epic Metal experience, mature well beyond their years. 'Towards The Sun' gives a taste of their varied styles with the title track taking you on an epic journey, the shear brutality of 'Frustrate Recluse' and the subtle beauty of 'Blossom Into The Void'. The powerfully executed live tracks 'Obsolete' and 'Locust' clearly demonstrate why Betreaus have come so far, so quickly.
No strangers to the big stage; Betreaus owned the Pepsi Max stage at Download Festival this year, decimated 'New Blood' stage at last year's Bloodstock as well as showcasing their melodic talents on the acoustic stage last summer and have played high profile support slots with the likes of Blaze Bailey and Beholder. The winter of 2011 will see the band tour the length and breadth of the UK in support of the EP release.
'Towards The Sun' is an absolute must have for fans of Opeth, Death, Cynic, Bloodbath and Insomnium.
