23rd October 2012

pythia

Pythia are to headline Witchfest International 2012, the largest festival of Witchcraft in the world, on Saturday 17th November at the prestigious Fairfield Halls in Croydon, South London.

On Sunday 28th October, the band has the honour of sharing the stage with Metal stalwarts Evile and Wolf, at the Garage in Highbury, London. With three of the Metal world's most exciting live acts uniting for an evening of furious Metal mayhem, this promises to be a must-see event!

In other Pythia news, the band are close to officially releasing their second album, 'The Serpent's Curse', in mainland Europe and we can now confirm that the album will be released by Graviton on 16th November 2012. Fans in Europe should look out for the album in stores soon.

In support of the album's release in Europe, plans are currently afoot for some live dates in mainland Europe during 2013. Watch this space...

The band are also in the process of recording a very special, winter-themed covers EP that they hope to have ready and available just in time for Christmas. This is a really fun mini-project and a way to say thank you to all who have steadfastly supported the band throughout the past year. The EP will be released on a limited run only, so make sure you order fast to avoid disappointment! Details to follow.

And if that isn't enough, the band are currently in the process of writing songs for what will become their third album and have tentative plans to release it sometime in 2013.

We can't reveal anything else at this stage about album number three, suffice to say things are shaping up to make this Pythia's best release yet.

wacken

Wacken Winter Nights 2018 takes place between February 23rd and 25th 2018 and the great news is that you can now experience a full-on, top class German Metal Festival easily and affordably.

It only takes an hour to fly to Hamburg from London and we've had longer journeys than that within the capital and they were certainly more expensive than the £33 air ticket that just appeared in our 'flights to Wacken Winter Nights' search.

wacken

Wacken Winter Nights is organised by the same team who are responsible for the world's greatest Metal festival, Wacken-Open-Air and the 2018 bill includes Skyclad, Orphaned Land, Elvenking, Finntroll, Grave Digger, Aeverium, Comes Vagantes, Coppelius, Corvus Corax, Die Pressgëng, Elvellon, Heimataerde, Hell-O-Matic, Ignis Fatuu, Ingrimm, Irdorath, Johnny Deathshadow, Krayenzeit, Letzte Instanz, Mr Hurley und die Pulveraffen, Pampatut, Pat Razket, Schandmaul, Sündenrausch, The Aberlour's, The Moon And The Nightspirit, Torfrock, Visions Of Atlantis, Vroudenspil, Wind Rose and more.

Wacken Winter Nights is something not to be missed and you can check out the amazing ticket and accommodation prices right here.

We just priced up the whole four day trip with hotels, flights, shuttles and festival tickets for less than £300 and we don't think you will get a better value festival than that, anywhere.
