MetalTalk has been able to take a sneak peek at the set list for Steve Vai's upcoming European tour and it's all good news. Steve is determined fans have a fantastic show with as much music as he and his band can offer and 25 songs is good going so far. Steve is clear this tour is an ensemble approach to his music with his band members being featured in solos and acknowledging his mentor Frank Zappa. Article continues below... The set-list: Intro Racing The World Velorum Band intros Building The Church Tender Surrender Gravity Storm Dave (solo) Weeping China John The Revelator The Moon And I The Animal Whispering A Prayer The Audience Is Listening Deborah (solo – harp) Rescue Me Sisters Treasure Island Salamanders Pusa Read Drum solo The Ultra Zone Frank Build Me A Song For The Love Of God Encore Tarus Bulba Steve acknowledges his style is to have an outline for his shows but his advice to his band is to listen to the audience and go with the flow of whatever they are enjoying and responding to most so the set list is not guarantee to stay like this throughout the tour. Also don't be surprised if Steve dons a welder's mask and expect a musical reference to West Side Story.
