Eagle Rock Entertainment will release a two-hour-plus revelatory documentary on Deep Purple on June 28th called 'Phoneix Rising'.
This will include thirty minutes of never seen before, not even on bootleg, onstage footage from Japan. 'Phoenix Rising' will be released on DVD, Blu-ray and in a special two-disc DVD/CD package.

The never-before-seen thirty minutes called 'Rises Over Japan' has the Mark V line up in 1976 on eight songs, namely 'Burn', 'Getting Tighter', 'Love Child', 'Smoke On The Water', 'Lazy', 'Homeward Strut', 'You Keep On Moving' and 'Stormbringer'.
The double-disc package contains the above eight songs on CD and this segment is some of the only video footage that showcases Tommy Bolin playing with Deep Purple.
The hour and a half documentary portion called 'Getting Tighter', recounts the band in turmoil and the total excess that occurred.
This DVD is packed with live images, backstage footage, never-before-told stories and original video material gleaned from literally years of research. A must have for fans of Rock history.
