Sue Lewis of Rock Chick Promotions of London has very sadly passed away.
Sue was Advertising Manager/PA to Int Director/Office Manager for Metal Hammer from 1986 to 1990 and was an iconic figure on London’s live music circuit via her excellent work with Rock Chick Promotions.
Sue’s partner at Rock Chick Promotions, Nicki Newton paid the following tribute to her fallen comrade;
“Rest in peace my beautiful friend, you touched many people’s hearts and mine was just one. ♥”
Sara Harding of Kerrang and other TV channels and Total Rock radio paid the following tribute to Sue.
“Sue was one of the most well known and respected ladies on the live rock music scene. As a partner in Rock Chick Promotions she worked hard and passionately to support local live music and was a fixture at all the gigs.
“She was a wonderful and warm person and everyone she met was touched by her. The live rock scene has lost a local legend and she will be sorely missed.
