The brand new album from Attica Rage, 'Road Dog', is officially unleashed today - Monday 4th April 2011.

After a successful launch party at the recent Hammerfest festival, Attica are pleased to finally let it out the cage! "It has been a long-time in the making and we can't wait for you to hear it!"

Produced, engineered and mixed by Roddy Macaudio in Glasgow, Scotland and mastered by Mike Tucci at Masterdisk, New York, the album is a diverse collection - 14 tracks of classic hard rock grooves, blistering metal riffs, powerful ballads, blues-infused biker rock plus a few extra surprises along the way, including guest performances by alternative blues artist Dave Arcari and singer/songwriter/cellist Christie Connor-Vernal.

You may have seen the two-part short documentary film, produced and posted online by film-maker Colin Wood last year.

Well, it has been updated to include some new footage and edited into one video. The short film documents the band recording the album in the studio over the last year and includes behind-the-scenes clips, interviews with the band members and album producer roddymacaudio as well as live clips from a headline show in the Glasgow Cathouse back in December 2009.


On Sunday 1st May, Attica Rage will be headlining Rock For Funds 2011 in Glasgow - a fundraising event in aid of the Yorkhill Children's Foundation. Doors open 2pm at Ivory Blacks, Oswald Street, Glasgow with live bands until 12 Midnight, prize raffle and an aftershow party featuring music from the Decadence DJ's. The event will be hosted by Rock Radio's Father Ted.

Here's a fabulous Aerosmith pictorial document as seen through the lens of famed British photographer Tony Mottram. Tony photographed the band over many years for various magazines and now has a monthly column here on MetalTalk.

As was often the case, only one photo ever got published and in the fast moving world of weekly magazines sometimes entire sessions would be done and left undeveloped.

Tony started shooting Aerosmith from towards the end of the period with Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay and onwards through the return of original members Joe Perry and Brad Whitford that resulted in the albums 'Done With Mirrors', 'Permanent Vacation' and 'Pump'.


As well as shooting the band several times in England, this collection includes images from a session at the band's rehearsal room in Boston. Littered throughout is a mixture of live and off stage photos including a selection of photos taken at London's famous Marquee club when they were joined on stage by Jimmy Page.

This limited edition hardback book, presented in a flight case and printed on silk paper, is an opportunity to own a unique selection of photos, most of which have never seen the light of day before.
