The last night of the rescheduled UK tour ended up on a cold January night at the Robin 2 Bilston. The band had to postpone the November/December 2016 gigs due to devastating news in the Tyketto camp. Bass player Chris Childs' mother was on deaths doorstep, and drummer Michael Clayton's wife was diagnosed with cancer.

Eight dates in and firing on all cylinders the band hit the stage with 'Kick Like A Mule', one of five tracks in a sixteen set tracklist taken from their October 2016 album, 'Reach'. The venue was at near capacity, and the Tyketto faithful were out in force and raring to go.

Danny Vaughn was in top form as usual and had the crowd in the palm of his hand smoothly blending into 'Wings', taken from their debut and finest album 'Don’t Come Easy'.

'Rescue Me', from their second album 'Strength In Numbers' followed suit, with the whole band in spectacular form, and guitarist Chris Green commanding the stage with a presence more than filling the shoes of original six string maestro Brook St James.

'Faithless', from the bands 2012 release 'Dig In Deep' was up next, followed by the second song from 'Reach', 'I Need It Now'. It's so good to hear new music from Tyketto; they have that distinctive sound, that almost immediately you know its them, and it's great that the new material easily blends in with the original songs.

The band continued, churning out the hits, to the fans delight with songs from their back catalogue including stand out numbers, 'Meet Me In The Night', 'Standing Alone', 'Lay Your Body Down', and as always they finish with one of the finest melodic rock tracks of all time, the track that needs no introduction.

A great time was had by one and all and it was great to see them find time to come out and meet and greet after the gig. The band deserve all the respect they get, and are still one of the hardest working bands on the circuit. Long may they stay forever young.
