My first Marshall was a Super Lead 100 that I bought along with a 4X12 cabinet that was stenciled 'Ram Jam,' back in 1977.
Yup, the Black Betty rig, and I've not been the same, nor quite right since. Notable tours of duty have included working as a guitar tech for Michael Schenker (McAuley/Schenker days), playing with such notables as Bobby Womack, Iggy Pop, and too many others, and working as a manager in the Guitar Center chain for many years, where I started out at on Sunset Boulevard back in 85.
I currently write my Rock Guitar Daily blog, manage an artist here and there (more on that very soon), and have returned to Los Angeles to seemingly do it all over again.
While I'm at it, I'm going to join a band, or two, as well and make some noise.
That was me you saw talking to Billy Gibbons last week in that Mexican restaurant in Hollywood. Never let the third act be boring. And you'll hear me say this a lot - Rock Ain't Near Dead.
