||SYLO FROM TEXAS ARE MAKING BIG WAVES IN THE STATES
Texarkana is a city in Bowie County, Texas, located in the Ark-La Tex region and together with neighboring Texas and Arkansas it forms the community of Texarkana.
Nothing has happened in Texarkana up until now.
Whether they wanted it or not, Texarkana is about to be put on the rock and roll map. An exciting thrash death Metal band is making headway through the Ark-La Tex region. The band is called Sylo.

Sylo were formed in 2002 as the brainchild of guitarist Dave Ferland, who wanted to create a new sound of heavy and powerful Metal music.
Comprising of Danny Sneed (Vocals), Dave Ferland (Guitar/Vocals), Justin Parker (Guitars/Vocals), Kody Barlow (Drums), and Wallace Gholson (Bass/Vocals), the band have an EP titled 'Monument Of Nothing'.
Sylo wear their influences proudly and they include Lamb of God and Five Finger Death Punch as well as Black Sabbath, Pantera and St Vitus.
The band's style of music is death Metal thrash with a touch of doom and gloom. They have a video called 'Lineage' which is a song about war. The band plays tight and hard.
Vocalist Danny Seed has impressive gutter like vocal ability and the two guitar attack of Dave Ferland and Justin Parker have good solid melodic lines. Bassist Wallace Gholson provides solid steady grooves and Kody Barlow provides the backbone steady beat.
'Monument Of Nothing' is brutally fast and furious and there's a signature time change in this tune. It's getting a lot of airplay particularly on Dallas' KNON community radio station and on Houston's underground rock station KLOL.
'Psyklops' is a funk tune with funk groove bass lines while 'Beneath Lies' is a straight ahead rock song with very good presentation by the band as a whole.
The band are making a big splash through Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma and have important gigs coming up in Chicago in January 2014 along with more gigs to follow throughout the Midwest.
Like I said previously, two of the most important bands to come out of the Lone Star State are ZZ Top and Pantera and now you can add Sylo to the Texas rock n' roll club.
