MEL RODDIS

I've been listening to alternative music since my first ever viewing of Bill And Ted's Excellent Adventure – the totally bodacious soundtrack for which I still possess – back when I was in school. From that point on I realised that popular music had no place in my ears, and I decided to devote all my energies to rocking the hell out.
It began with the Offspring, but after seeing them play a truly astounding gig with Queens Of The Stone Age, Megadeth and AC/DC at Milton Keynes I graduated away from the punk scene towards rock and Metal. These days my greatest love is for classic and progressive rock, and I worship the likes of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Porcupine Tree, but I also have a lot of time for doom and Metal types like Katatonia and Opeth.
I'm always looking to broaden my musical horizons and I am an enormous nerd when it comes to writing, so I jumped at the opportunity to join the MetalTalk gang.
