ELLIE HUDSON I'm Ellie and based in Devon. I was well and truly bitten by the rock bug way back in the early 1970s aged about 12 after seeing bands like Thin Lizzy, Queen, Suzi Quatro, Alice Cooper and Status Quo in concert at Plymouth Guildhall. I was instantly hooked on the energy, the vibe, the atmosphere and quite simply I fell hopelessly in love. With rock! I entered journalism through the provincial newspaper route and my first interview of real significance to my career as a music writer was in 1994 with UK rock band Little Angels being used as a front page story! From there I was given my own weekly column covering local band activity in the Surrey area where I lived at the time and then I moved to London and into various band publicity roles. My rock tastes err on the side of classic rock and I admit that extreme Metal is lost on me. Bands like Thin Lizzy, A/DC, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses absolutely rock my world and I'm also nuts about Green Day, but through the good folk at MetalTalk.Net I'm determined to pursue newer music.
