LEAH TURNER

My name is Leah Turner. I'm currently studying English Literature and Creative Writing at UCP Marjon and I am in my second year of this course. I work in the Queens Arms pub in Torpoint and also the Theatre Royal in Plymouth.
I don't tend to get much spare time, but when I'm not working I go to gigs and review and interview bands for Leah's Ears, which is my own personal project. I haven't been doing music journalism for very long, but I have been writing since I was 11 years old, so words have always come naturally to me.
In the past I have written many poems and short stories, which one day I hope to publish as a 'collective works'. I read all of the time which constantly fuels my inspiration. I enjoy reading novels, poetry, plays and reviews from my favourite magazines.
I have also always had a passion for music, I play the piano and I listen to a very wide variety of music genres. Music journalism combines my two greatest passions and it has become something that I couldn't live without.
