ANDY BRADSHAW

Andy started out in music journalism in the mid-1980s working as a photo-journalist. As well as working freelance he was Assistant Editor of Metal Hammer from the late 80s into the early 90s. A life-long Metal fan, his love of the genre has never diminished and remains committed to the notion that if it's too loud, you're not deaf enough yet.
His tastes are wide and varied and has covered most flavours of rock over the years. Personal highlights include interviewing the late great John Lee Hooker, Neal Schon (his favourite guitarist of all time) and getting pissed with any number of bands on tour buses on the road.
His biggest regret is never getting to interview Stevie Ray Vaughan - which he almost did as he was the first scheduled journalist to interview him on the press round Stevie was due to do in London... after he played the Alpine Valley Music Festival. Vaughan took Eric Clapton's place on the helicopter back to Chicago and, well, we know the rest."
