Brian Jones/Johnny Thunders Double A-Side Tribute Single

Radical punk blues trio The Bermondsey Joyriders have released a 7" white vinyl double A-Side single in homage to two of the most loved and missed characters from the golden age of rock 'n roll.

The Bermondsey Joyriders are not only proud of their English heritage but here is a band whose roots are firmly rooted in Carnaby Street of the Swinging Sixties and the glory days of Tin Pan Alley and the spirit of Wardour Street's Marquee Club when punk was ready to explode.

This band don't need a time machine, they're still living happily living in the past believing that the three day working work did in fact come into fruition.

Stand out track is 'Brian Jones (The Real True Leader Of The Rolling Stones)' and although the real true leader of the Stones is debatable this groover has an infectious riff and sing-along chrous that will get you jiving and your hips shaking.

The AA side is 'Johnny Thunders Was A Human Being' is a reworking of an earlier Joyriders song from their debut album in 'Part Of My Problem' which had more of a garage edge compared to this version.

The lyrics have been changed a little to feature the titles of tracks written by Thunders, but with Chris Musto on drums who played in Thunders Oddballs this is a neat little tribute and is a nice little appetizer before the next full length album arrives at the end of May.

You'll be advised to snap one of these singles rather sharpish as the white vinyl is only limited to 300 copies. It's out now on Fuel Records.

Here's a fabulous Aerosmith pictorial document as seen through the lens of famed British photographer Tony Mottram. Tony photographed the band over many years for various magazines and now has a monthly column here on MetalTalk.

As was often the case, only one photo ever got published and in the fast moving world of weekly magazines sometimes entire sessions would be done and left undeveloped.

Tony started shooting Aerosmith from towards the end of the period with Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay and onwards through the return of original members Joe Perry and Brad Whitford that resulted in the albums 'Done With Mirrors', 'Permanent Vacation' and 'Pump'.

As well as shooting the band several times in England, this collection includes images from a session at the band's rehearsal room in Boston. Littered throughout is a mixture of live and off stage photos including a selection of photos taken at London's famous Marquee club when they were joined on stage by Jimmy Page.

This limited edition hardback book, presented in a flight case and printed on silk paper, is an opportunity to own a unique selection of photos, most of which have never seen the light of day before.

This unique item is presented in an aluminium flight case and will be published in late November. Earlybird subscribers who order by 31st October will have their name printed within a dedicated page in the book.
