Argent and Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash play Shepherd's Bush Empire on Saturday 4th February 2012.
Argent are an English rock band formed in 1968 by ex-Zombies keyboard player and vocalist Rod Argent and featuring noted guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Russ Ballard. They reunited for the High Voltage Festival in 2011 after many decades of inactivity but their music, which fuses the best elements of progressive rock, hard rock, pop and blues, has been discovered and embraced by a new generations of fans.

Their live repertoire includes the familiar songs 'Hold Your Head Up', the Zombies' own 'She's Not There' and 'God Gave Rock And Roll To You' (later recorded by Kiss), also 'Since You Been Gone', a worldwide hit single for Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow. Following a triumphant display at the Great British Rock And Blues Festival in Skegness, they are not to be missed.
Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash
With a career spanning more than four decades, the UK's own Wishbone Ash are a legendary name on the British rock scene. Fronted by bass player Martin Turner, their pioneering twin-guitar style was later adopted by such names as Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden and just about every hard rock band of genuine significance.
However, Ash's music is also rooted in folk, blues and jazz, lending them a priceless versatility. This blend reached perfection with 'Argus', the enduring 1973 masterwork, an album that still features heavily in their hugely entertaining live shows.
