Tuesday 4th March 2014
MetalTalk's Mark Taylor interviewed Mick Box at Minehead recently and here's what he had to say.
Uriah Heep, one of the 'Big Four' of Hard Rock, have invited fans worldwide to attend and be part of a special DVD Recording at KOKO, London on the 4th March 2014.
The band are currently in the studio recording their 24th studio album but will finish to take to the stage in London to perform an extremely special set. Fans travelling from every continent will enjoy a spectacular evening and will be meeting one another in the surrounding pubs before the gig.
This show will be filmed and released as a live DVD on Frontiers Records in later 2014/early 2015. As well as a host of Heep classics, the set will also include some new songs that will be taken from the material that the band is writing for the forthcoming 2014 album, following 2011s 'Into The Wild' which was the band's highest charting album since the 1970s in worldwide territories.

Fans attending the show will be in with a chance of being filmed themselves, not only as part of the audience, but as a part of Heep's history for some special bonus features to be included on the DVD.
Mick Box said: "Heep is back in the studio recording lead vocals with Bernie Shaw, and it is all beginning to take excellent shape. It will definitely be a 'Rock' CD in true Heep style, and as each piece of the puzzle is added to the rock foundation already laid down, it is all getting very exciting.
2014 is set to be yet another big one for Mick Box and the band as they work on the new material, and of course keep on touring; Heep has been round the world several times in the last 24 months visiting South Africa, Australia, Asia, North America, South America and East and West Russia. The band headlined the first ever Planet Rock Stock in December and have just completed a string of intimate dates in the UK.
Heep will also play the prestigious Sweden Rock Festival in the Summer, something to look forward to after their storming Download show in 2013.
With classic songs like 'Lady In Black', 'Gypsy', 'Easy Livin'' and 'Look At Yourself', and a magnificent 44 year catalogue full of ambition, sophisticated writing, memorable tunes and, of course, the vocals - the five part harmonies were a clear influence on the operatics of Queen - Uriah Heep has headlined at stadia worldwide: truly the band has ensured its place at rock's top table.
