Paddy Goes To Holyhead will be seeing the year out in style by having a jolly ole knees up at the Merton Manor Club in London on New Year's Eve.
Over these past two decades Paddy Goes To Holyhead has featured a whole host of known musicians in the band, taking a break from their day jobs and playing a set full of rocktastic covers. But don't let that put you off because the Merton Manor Club has the cheapest bar known to mankind. £2.50 for a pint and £6.00 for a bottle of plonk means this will be the cheapest night out for any rocker on New Year's Eve.
Tickets are a score on the night but you can get early bird tickets, saving yourself a whooping £8, from this link.
The Merton Manor Club is easy to get to. Situated in Kingston Road it's only ten minutes walk down a couple of roads from Wimbledon tube station on the District Line or a couple of minutes from South Wimbledon on the Northern Line and with Boris Johnson making sure that the tube network will be running into the wee early hours free of charge, you've got no worries about getting home.
The club will be full of friendly regulars, just make sure you can walk past their beer bellies to get in. See ya at the bar.
